Net price per carat = Rap list price × (1 + discount ÷ 100). A Rap price of US$7,200 at −35% gives US$4,680 per carat; multiply by the carat weight for the stone total.
For a round brilliant: average diameter² × depth × 0.0061. For fancy shapes: length × width × depth × a shape factor, for example 0.0062 for oval (using average diameter), 0.0083 for princess and 0.0080 for emerald. It is an estimate; girdle thickness changes the real weight.
Fine gold = gross weight × purity. 25 g of 22K (91.6%) contains 22.9 g of fine gold. One tola is 11.6638 g.
Convert what you issued and what came back to fine gold (weight × purity), then subtract. Loss % = fine loss ÷ fine issued × 100.
Yield % = polished carats ÷ rough carats × 100. Cost per polished carat = (rough cost + cutting and lab costs) ÷ polished carats.
1 tola = 11.6638 g, 1 Hong Kong tael = 37.429 g, 1 Thai baht (gold) = 15.244 g, 1 troy ounce = 31.1035 g and 1 carat = 0.2 g.
